Music Pros XL designed the Academy and Learning Lab to educate students in all aspects of audio production. There is no substitute for the real thing. That's why our step-by-step training program offers a ''hands on" approach, where students gain confidence by working with state-of-the-art audio gear in a studio environment. The Academy believes in keeping the class sizes small in order to maximize your time with the audio gear, as well as access to our instructors. However, private instruction is also available. The Learning Lab consists of four (4) individual workstations, which are designed to represent an independent studio. Each workstation includes: computer, monitor and audio gear. Students are allowed to use the Learning Lab during normal business hours, provided it is not reserved for instruction. Reservation/equipment fee $10/hour. The Basics of Audio Recording - 10 hour course / 2 hours per week for 5 weeks - Entry level/basic software instruction Mixing & Mastering - 20 hour course / 2 hours per week for 10 weeks - Professional "hands on" instruction Professional Audio Software - 20 hour course / 2 hours per week for 10 weeks - Sonar Professional Edition instruction
